Phishing Scam ALERT!!!

BCB Community Bank has been notified by numerous customers that received automated phone calls. The customer is told that their ATM/ debit card is suspended. In the calls, customers are asked to press 1 to be connected to the activation center. The phone call in no way identifies the bank, just states the customer's card has been suspended. We ask that you do not respond to any type of solicitation.

This is a Phishing Scam. Phishing: is a way of attempting to acquire information such as usernames, passwords, and credit or debit card details by masquerading as a trustworthy entity in an electronic or phone communication.

BCB Community Bank will never ask you to update your account information via email, mobile messaging or telephone contact. Should you receive an email with this type of request consider it fraud. DO NOT RESPOND to it and IMMEDIATELY DELETE it from your inbox. We will never initiate a call to you and ask you to provide personal or financial information over the phone. Additionally, we will not send mobile messages requesting customers to update their financial or personal information.
